Data Platform Lead / Architect

• Designing next-generation data environments for banking use cases, including architecture definitions built around modern cloud data warehouses and large-scale processing tools.
  
• Leading initiatives aimed at modernising legacy ETL landscapes, improving automation, governance and data processing throughput.
  
• Ensuring end-to-end compliance with financial-sector requirements related to security, risk management, data privacy and regulatory frameworks.
  
• Coordinating cross-functional engineering, architecture and operations teams responsible for delivering secure, resilient and scalable solutions.
  
• Working directly with business leaders to translate financial requirements and regulatory expectations into long-term technical roadmaps.
  
• Establishing and promoting best practices around quality, reliability, lineage, auditing and operational efficiency in data pipelines and platform operations.
  
• Providing architectural guidance and mentoring to technology teams, and driving a high standard of engineering excellence.
  

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in roles related to enterprise data, analytics, integration, or large-scale BI/ETL systems.
  
• Several years of leadership in architecture or technical strategy roles.
  
• Hands-on architectural expertise with modern cloud data warehouses and enterprise-grade data platforms used in financial organisations.
  
• Strong understanding of network, security, and platform architecture in complex multi-system environments.
  
• Deep exposure to tools used for enterprise data integration, data governance and transformation in regulated industries.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead migrations from older on-premise platforms to modern, cloud-oriented ecosystems.
  
• Solid knowledge of financial-sector compliance, audit requirements and security standards.
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across business, operations and technology teams.
  
• Relevant academic degree in IT, computer science or a related discipline.
  

• Background working with mainframe environments or legacy financial systems.
  
• Experience using a variety of reporting or analytics suites (e.g. enterprise BI tools).
  
• Familiarity with multiple ETL frameworks beyond the primary stack.
  
• Previous work in architect-level roles within banks, fintechs or financial organisations.
  
• Certifications related to modern data platforms or integration tools.
  
• Exposure to AI-assisted transformation or automated code migration technologies.
  
• Knowledge of enterprise governance, metadata management, lineage tools and master data platforms.
  
• Experience participating in industry audits or regulatory evaluations.
