We are a rapidly growing deep-tech startup building the next generation of AI-powered intelligence for the private markets. Our AI/Data Science team is composed of talented, humble, and curious individuals with backgrounds in high-tech startups and academia.

The position

We are looking for a PhD-holding Senior Data Scientist & AI Engineer with strong scientific foundations and real-world engineering experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys moving between research, engineering, and product, and wants to have a meaningful impact in a fast-moving startup.

Your responsibilities will include

• Leading and executing AI/DS projects end-to-end, from research and prototyping to development, deployment, and maintenance in production.
• Investigating and adapting state-of-the-art scientific techniques, extracting insights from the literature to create production-ready solutions.
• Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to align AI/DS work with product strategy and commercial objectives.
• Providing technical leadership, feedback, and guidance across the team.

To be successful in this role, you should have

• A PhD in a scientific or technical field related to applied AI (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.) plus at least 2 years of post-PhD industry experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world problems.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, with a particular interest in NLP techniques
• A proven track record of solving business problems using data.
• Solid engineering skills: strong coding skills and proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python with hands-on experience deploying AI systems into production.
• Practical experience with LLM systems, agent workflows, semantic/RAG pipelines, embeddings, tool-calling, and model evaluation methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and experiment with modern technologies.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (interviews will be conducted in English).
