Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Gurgaon (Work from Office)

About the Role :

We are looking for a Data Scientist specializing in Fraud/Lending Risk, Collections, Churn/propensity models for our fintech products. You will work closely with Risk, Engineering, Product, and Compliance teams to develop scalable systems while balancing customer experience and business risk. The role combines strong modelling expertise with hands-on experience deploying models

using AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance fraud/credit risk models including:
• Approval / underwriting PD based models
• Risk-based pricing models
• Perform feature engineering using transactional, behavioural, device, and third-party data.
• Continuously monitor model performance using metrics such as KS, AUC, precision-
• recall, false positives, and fraud capture rate.
• Perform cut-off and policy optimization balancing risk and growth
• Monitor portfolio health using PSI/CSI, bad rates, vintage curves, and roll rates
• Optimize collection strategies, channel allocation, and contact timing
• Measure impact using uplift, retention rate, and lifetime value metrics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science (fintech/banking preferred).
• Hands-on experience working on fraud risk, lending risk, collection and
• propensity problems.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python, Pyspark and ML/AI frameworks
• Solid SQL skills for large-scale data analysis
• Hands-on experience with AWS SageMaker for model training and deployment
• Experience building serverless workflows using AWS Lambda
• Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployments
• Experience with model monitoring, validation, and explainability
• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hive, Presto).
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), including various prompt
• engineering techniques, word embeddings and vector databases. and understanding of
• Agentic Architecture is a plus.
• Experience with one or more of the following tools and frameworks – LangChain,
• LangGraph, OpenAI Assistants API, AutoGen, etc.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of natural language processing (NLP)
• techniques and algorithms, and their practical
