About the Role
We are looking for a Data Services Monitoring Engineer to support and monitor enterprise-scale Azure data platforms. The role focuses on proactive monitoring, issue identification, and first-level remediation to ensure high availability of analytics and reporting systems for global stakeholders.
This is a critical operations role supporting data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and BI platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor Azure data infrastructure and data pipelines during defined monitoring windows
Ensure successful execution of:
Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines
Data warehouse and data mart refreshes
Power BI dataset and semantic model refreshes
Monitor Azure services including:
Azure SQL Paa S & Managed Instances
Iaa S VMs supporting data integrations
Microsoft Fabric (SQL / Data workloads)
Identify failures, analyze root causes, and perform first-level remediation
Escalate issues with clear documentation and impact analysis
Track recurring incidents and suggest preventive actions
Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
Provide daily/weekly monitoring status reports and incident summaries
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Data Operations / Production Support / Monitoring roles
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Good understanding of Azure SQL Databases & Managed Instances
Experience supporting Power BI datasets and refresh schedules
Working knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouse concepts
Ability to analyze logs, job failures, and performance issues
Comfortable working in offshore model and early US business hours
Good to Have
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
Experience with monitoring tools, alerts, and ticketing systems
Basic scripting knowledge ( Power Shell / Python / SQL )
Experience working with global clients and SLA-driven environments
