Job Description
Assess current data management practices, identify gaps, and help develop an updated, DFG-compliant data governance strategy.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the consortium’s data management workflows, including open-source software development where needed.
Ensure smooth operation of all workflow components, including SODAR (web GUI, REST API, CLI tools) and its underlying systems (iRODS, ISA metadata model).
Manage data transfer and access within the consortium, including authorization and permissions.
Ensure metadata and data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency).
Maintain a library of sample sheet templates using controlled vocabularies and ontologies, in collaboration with researchers.
Maintain DFG-compliant SOPs and coordinate training and guidance for researchers. Working knowledge of modern OMICS datasets and the FAIR principles.
