Job Description
The mission of the Data Platform Singapore Business Partnering (DPSG BP) team is to empower the TikTok Business with data. Our goal is to build a Data Warehouse that can cater to batch and streaming data, Data Products that provide useful information to build efficient data metrics & dashboards which will be used to make smarter business decisions to support business growth. - Leadership & Strategy: Lead the Data Warehouse team with a focus on designing and managing our data warehouse infrastructure. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance data storage, processing, and retrieval systems.
- Technical Management: Oversee the development and optimization of data modeling, ETL processes, and real-time data integration. Ensure data warehouse solutions meet the organization’s needs and industry standards.
- Data Product Oversight: Manage the creation and maintenance of data products, ensuring they provide valuable insights and support decision-making processes. Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- System Implementation & Enhancement: Drive the rollout, upgrade, and implementation of data systems. Apply best practices to streamline internal processes and improve data management efficiency.
- Analytics & Reporting: Lead efforts in developing analytics applications and visualization tools. Utilize data-oriented programming languages and software to transform raw data into actionable insights and dynamic reports.
Innovation: Explore and implement advanced data techniques, including data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing, to enhance data capabilities and derive meaningful insights from both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Support professional growth and ensure high performance within the team.
- Direct Engagement: Being deeply involved in technical implementations and responsible for building batch and real-time data warehouse
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in creating and maintaining complex ETL pipeline end-to-end while maintaining high reliability and security Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in data engineering experience
- 5 years experience with data warehouse concept and have production experience in modeling design
- 5 years experience with 1 distributed computing engine (. Hive, Spark, Flink)
