Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DB2 LUW Administrator to manage, support, and optimize DB2 LUW database environments. This role requires strong expertise in database administration, automation, and customer-focused service delivery, along with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain DB2 LUW databases in production and non-production environments.
• Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage database backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Support and manage data replication using IBM IIDR or similar CDC-based replication technologies.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine DBA tasks.
• Implement and manage configuration management and automation using Ansible.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure database stability and performance.
• Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Document procedures, standards, and best practices for database administration.
• Participate in project planning, migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 LUW Administrator.
• Strong experience with IBM DB2 LUW on RHEL environments.
• Experience with IBM IIDR or similar CDC-based data replication technologies.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (bash, ksh, csh, Python, Perl).
• Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audience
