Job Description

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and MongoDB databases.

  • Manage database security, access control, and auditing.

  • Perform database backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability setup.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, queries, and indexing.

  • Implement and maintain replication, clustering, and sharding as needed.

  • Work with developers to optimize queries, stored procedures, and schema designs.

  • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD integration and cloud database deployments.

  • Provide 24x7 production support for critical database systems on a rotational basis.

  • Maintain documentation for standards, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Requirements

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 1–2 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator (SQL & MongoDB).

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server administration (installation, clustering, HA/DR, tuning).

  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB administration (replica sets, sharding, upgrades, backups).

  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries & stored procedures.

  • Understanding of NoSQL vs. RDBMS concepts and architectures.

  • Experience with database monitoring tools (SQL Profiler, MongoDB Atlas, Grafana).

  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance best practices.
    Knowledge of scripting languages for automation

  • Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, MongoDB Atlas).

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and database orchestration.

  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Knowledge of big data ecosystems and integration with analytics tools.
