We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (MS SQL DBA) to join our team for a multinational leader in the technology/telecommunications sector , working in a European, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration and production support of MS SQL Server databases .
Proactive monitoring and capacity management .
Backup, recovery and performance analysis .
Database tuning and optimization.
Automation of repetitive tasks and reporting using PowerShell .
Design and deployment of new database and server architectures .
Ad-hoc technical consultancy for application teams.
Incident resolution and service request management.
Participation in change management processes following ITIL methodology .
Contribution to maintaining high availability environments .
Collaboration with technical colleagues to improve service stability and performance.
Participation in on-call rotations and shift-based support.
Skills:
Essential:
Minimum 5 years of experience administering SQL Server (2008R2–2019) .
Strong experience in high availability environments .
Advanced T-SQL knowledge.
Experience with PowerShell automation .
Experience with ETL processes and database migrations , with exposure to BigQuery valued.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to work under pressure in critical environments.
Advanced English level (C1) .
Desirable:
ITIL Foundation certification.
University degree in Computer Science or related field.
French language skills.
