Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize MySQL database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in MySQL replication, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and scripting, ensuring high availability, security, and reliability of databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL databases in production and non-production environments
- Manage and monitor MySQL replication (Master–Slave / Master–Master) and troubleshoot replication issues
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies (logical and physical backups)
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
- Monitor database health, capacity planning, and proactively address potential issues
- Ensure database high availability, data integrity, and security
- Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting / Python / Perl
