Database Administrator - Oracle, Snowflake, SQL, & MySQL

Description GSPANN is hiring a Database Administrator to manage and support Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, and MySQL databases. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and maintaining secure and reliable database operations across enterprise environments.

Role and Responsibilities

Administer Oracle, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL databases across enterprise environments.

Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database platforms while managing version lifecycles.

Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to ensure stability and scalability.

Execute approved Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and Data Control Language (DCL) changes in alignment with governance and change management processes.

Design, implement, and validate High Availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) strategies.

Optimize Snowflake warehouses and enterprise SQL workloads to improve performance and cost efficiency.

Partner with application teams to support schema changes, data fixes, and query tuning activities.

Troubleshoot production database incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Manage database security, access controls, auditing, and compliance requirements.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and operational documentation.

Skills and Experience

5-8 years of hands-on experience managing Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, and MySQL databases in enterprise environments.

Strong expertise in enterprise DBA operations, including performance tuning and production support.

Proven experience implementing HA, DR, backup, PITR, and database migration strategies.

Advanced SQL skills with solid exposure to mission-critical production systems.

Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage database performance, capacity, and availability.

Hands-on experience with database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and version management across multiple platforms.

Strong capability to execute governed DDL, DML, and DCL changes reliably.

Practical experience supporting application teams with schema design, query optimization, and data corrections.

Proven troubleshooting skills, including incident resolution, RCA, and long-term remediation.

Experience managing database security, access management, auditing, and regulatory compliance.

Strong documentation skills with experience maintaining SOPs and operational runbooks.
