Database Administrator

Description We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in St. Augustine, Florida. This long-term contract role focuses on managing and optimizing MySQL databases while ensuring security, scalability, and performance across infrastructure and database layers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architecture, security engineering, and Linux-based systems, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor system resources, including memory and disk I/O, to identify potential bottlenecks and recommend hardware upgrades or resizing as needed.
• Configure and optimize Linux kernel settings and storage parameters to improve MySQL database performance.
