Database Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using PLSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Lead database development efforts including stored procedures, triggers, views, and performance tuning.
• Drive migration projects from PLSQL to PostgreSQL or vice versa, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business requirements.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in PLSQL development and architecture (T-SQL, indexing, query optimization).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including PL/pgSQL, performance tuning, and extensions.
• Proven track record in database migration projects between MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and deploying databases in cloud-native environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance principles.
