Database architect

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using PLSQL and Postgre SQL.
- Lead database development efforts including stored procedures, triggers, views, and performance tuning.
- Drive migration projects from PLSQL to Postgre SQL or vice versa, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business requirements.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in PLSQL development and architecture (T-SQL, indexing, query optimization).
- Hands-on experience with Postgre SQL including PL/pg SQL, performance tuning, and extensions.
- Proven track record in database migration projects between MSSQL and Postgre SQL.
- Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and deploying databases in cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Power Shell for automation.
- Exposure to Dev Ops tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance principles.
