Key Skills: Application migration, SQL and NoSQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB

Years of Experience: 6 - 12 years

Location: Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad

Job Description:-

Hands-on database engineer responsible for re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases for the wave.

Responsibilities:

• Execute migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of the databases.
• Ensure adherence to:
• a) design,
• b) planned approach,
• c) planned timelines,
• d) intended quality.
• Provisioning, configuration and finetuning databases and datastores.
• Homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations.
• ETL/ ELT.
• Database finetuning.
• Unit testing, assist other testing’s.
• Deployment, cutover, hyper care, documentation, knowledge transfer to BAU operations.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders related to the wave.

Must Have skills:

• Hands-on expertise and experience in:
• application migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases.
• All phases of migration.
• SQL and NoSQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB: any 3 of them).
• Database finetuning (only for SME).
• Data migration.
• Associated tools and accelerators.

Good to have Skills:

• Good understanding of:
• a) Using GenAI and Agentic AI tools.
• b) AWS and on-premise environments.
• c) Security
• d) DevOpsd/ DevOps
