Key Skills: Application migration, SQL and No SQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle, Dynamo DB
Years of Experience: 6 - 12 years
Location: Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad
Job Description:-
Hands-on database engineer responsible for re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases for the wave.
Responsibilities:
Execute migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of the databases.
Ensure adherence to:
a) design,
b) planned approach,
c) planned timelines,
d) intended quality.
Provisioning, configuration and finetuning databases and datastores.
Homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations.
ETL/ ELT.
Database finetuning.
Unit testing, assist other testing’s.
Deployment, cutover, hyper care, documentation, knowledge transfer to BAU operations.
Collaborate with all stakeholders related to the wave.
Must Have skills:
Hands-on expertise and experience in:
application migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases.
All phases of migration.
SQL and No SQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle, Dynamo DB: any 3 of them).
Database finetuning (only for SME).
Data migration.
Associated tools and accelerators.
Good to have Skills:
Good understanding of:
a) Using Gen AI and Agentic AI tools.
b) AWS and on-premise environments.
c) Security
d) Dev Opsd/ Dev Ops
