Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Tester to join our dynamic IT team within a leading European insurance group. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of data warehouse systems that power mission-critical business operations across 26 countries. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating complex data pipelines, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and maintaining high standards of data quality across cloud-based platforms. Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for data warehouse systems and ETL processes.
- Perform detailed data validation and quality checks across source, staging, and target systems.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills to analyze and verify data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Test RESTful APIs and integrations within the data ecosystem to ensure seamless data flow.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to identify and resolve data issues.
- Leverage expertise in IBM DataStage, Oracle Warehouse, Azure, and Databricks to validate complex data pipelines.
- Document test cases, defects, and results with precision and maintain traceability across releases.
- Support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices in a DevOps environment.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse testing and ETL validation.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and validation.
- Advanced knowledge of IBM DataStage for designing and testing data integration workflows.
- In-depth understanding of Oracle Warehouse technology and its testing requirements.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure and Databricks.
- Proven ability to test REST services and API integrations within data ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and global environment.
