Location: Chennai - WFO

Key skill: SQL server to PGS Migrations, On-Prem to cloud Migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using MSSQL and PostgreSQL.

Lead database development efforts including stored procedures, triggers, views, and performance tuning.

Drive migration projects from MSSQL to PostgreSQL or vice versa, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business requirements.

Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong proficiency in MSSQL / PLSQL development and architecture (T-SQL, indexing, query optimization).

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including PL/pgSQL, performance tuning, and extensions.

Proven track record in database migration projects between MSSQL and PostgreSQL.

Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and deploying databases in cloud-native environments.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation.

Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.

Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance principles.
