Requirements  

·IBM DB2 DBA is responsible to Install, patch, administer, setup, troubleshoot and monitor the DB2 databases optimal performance and support users/Application related requests,

·Assure the database data is consistent, proper backups generated and that DR is configured to enable client RTO (recovery time objective) is in compliance.

Responsibilities  

·Linux/AIX OS DB parameters setup to enable proper DB operation.

·Crontab jobs configuration to allow DB maintenance tasks and backups execution.

·DB2 Installs, upgrades, patching and migrations.

·Database troubleshooting and workarounds implementation

·Database backup configuration, scheduling and troubleshooting.

·Database Pertormance and tuning + critical queries tuning

·Database Change Management control thru client ITSM tool

·DB Vendor support

·Support to DB projects

·On-Call support

·Shell/batch script
