Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support 24x7 Data Center Operations, ensuring high availability and uptime.
  • Monitor servers, storage, network devices, and virtualization platforms for performance and health.
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and timely resolution of DCO-related issues.
  • Provide hands-and-feet support for data center activities including rack/stack, cabling, and hardware replacement.
  • Handle server hardware support for HP, Dell, and other enterprise-class servers.
  • Perform firmware, BIOS, and driver upgrades as per change management procedures.
  • Support virtualization environments (VMware / Hyper-V) and monitor VMs.
  • Manage power, cooling, space, and environmental monitoring within the data center.
  • Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for hardware replacements and support cases.
  • Participate in change, problem, and capacity management activities.
  • Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and asset records.
  • Support DR drills, business continuity planning, and audits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in Data Center Operations (DCO).
  • Hands-on expertise with server hardware (HP/Dell/IBM).
  • Experience in rack, blade, and hyperconverged systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
