Delivery Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Digital Engineering Delivery Lead to oversee the successful delivery of complex digital solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in Python, AWS, and PostgreSQL, combined with exceptional leadership skills to manage large teams and drive hiring strategies. The ideal candidate will excel in system design, stakeholder management, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of digital engineering projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget compliance.
    Define delivery strategies, manage risks, and resolve escalations effectively.

  • Team Management & Hiring: Lead and manage large engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
    Drive recruitment efforts to build high-performing teams and ensure resource alignment.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on architecture and system design for scalable and secure solutions.
    Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, deployment, and cloud architecture.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and clients to understand requirements and align technical solutions with business goals.
    Communicate delivery progress, risks, and mitigation plans effectively to stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
    Implement continuous improvement practices for delivery excellence.

    • Primary Skills

  • Python (Advanced proficiency)

  • AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)

  • PostgreSQL (Database design and optimization)

  • Stakeholder Management (Strong communication and relationship-building skills)

  • System Design & Architecture

  • Managing Large Teams & Hiring

    • Secondary Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies

  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and delivery, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing large teams and delivering complex projects.

  • Strong technical background in Python, AWS, and PostgreSQL.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Exposure to enterprise-scale digital transformation projects.
