The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant discipline, and a proven track record of distinguished achievement in teaching, research, and/or extension. The Dean will be responsible for leading all academic programs, promoting high-quality educational experiences, and building excellence in research, extension, and engagement. This role requires a strategic and innovative leader with a commitment to the land-grant mission, including teaching, research, service, extension, and engagement. The Dean will also be expected to lead fundraising efforts, strengthen community and industry partnerships, and work towards the advancement of the College's strategic plan in alignment with the University's vision. Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Engineering should have a strong record of leadership, strategic planning, and relationship building. The role demands a candidate with exceptional collaboration, communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven ability to engage with both internal and external constituencies. A successful history in fund development and external fundraising is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mission of a land-grant university with R1 status and a commitment to shared governance. Preferred qualifications include a history of developing and implementing successful interdisciplinary and international programs, as well as a proven ability to lead transformational change and innovation initiatives.
