Deck Cadet & GP Rating-Container & Bulk Carrier

Job Summary: This role encompasses the foundational training and practical experience necessary for aspiring officers (Deck Cadet) and skilled ratings (GP Rating) within the Deck and Engine departments, specifically on Container and Bulk Carrier vessels. Individuals in this role contribute to the safe operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the vessel while gaining essential maritime knowledge and skills under the supervision of senior officers and ratings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

For Deck Cadets:

• Assist the Deck Officers in all aspects of navigation, including bridge watchkeeping, chart corrections, and the use of navigational equipment.
• Participate actively in cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and securing various types of cargo on container and bulk carrier vessels.
