Job Summary

Lazer is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the development of enterprise eCommerce platforms on Shopify. In this role, you will own the client relationship, manage budgets, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from strategy to execution. Acting as the primary liaison between enterprise clients and Lazer’s internal teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. You will drive the strategic direction of projects, manage competing priorities, and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams. Your expertise in eCommerce, particularly Shopify, coupled with your project and product management skills, will empower you to lead complex platform migrations and deliver innovative solutions for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients, owning the client relationship and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives to align project deliverables with business objectives.
  • Act as the client’s trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project delivery for Shopify-based eCommerce platforms, including migrations and custom implementations.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and milestones.
  • Ensure project objectives align with client business drivers and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and manage dependencies, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Product Ownership: Define and prioritize product roadmaps, requirements, and user stories in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure the successful implementation of features and functionalities.
  • Triage and manage defects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and securing QA sign-off.
  • Collaboration and Governance: Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and clients.
  • Provide regular governance updates, including status reports, budget tracking, and resource utilization.
  • Supervise third-party solutions to ensure successful integration and alignment with project goals.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Product Owner, Digital Project Manager, or similar role, with a focus on eCommerce and retail. Extensive knowledge of Shopify Plus and its ecosystem, including platform migrations, custom development, and integrations. Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex project portfolios.
  • Client Engagement Skills: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks. Proven track record of delivering large-scale eCommerce solutions on time and within budget. Expertise in creating and managing project plans, tracking dependencies, and mitigating risks.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams. Demonstrable ability to resolve disputes, overcome challenges, and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing platform migrations from systems like Magento, Salesforce, or BigCommerce to Shopify. Familiarity with ERP, OMS, and CMS integrations (e.g., Netsuite, Sanity, or Manhattan). Shopify certifications or equivalent experience.
