Pay is $21.75 an hourJob Summary: As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. This role is not open to sponsorship only applicants eligible to work in the US without restriction will be considered.Responsibilities:Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization. -Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress. Update patient health history and chart treatment progress. Expose and develop radiographs (if certified). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care. Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments. Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems. Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA. Required Skills & Experience:Candidates must have at least Six Months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort. Required Education & Licensure:High school diploma(or associates or higher) or GED. If you did not graduate high school in the States, then we MUST HAVE your high school information OR a higher education degree, but it must be an associate’s or higher(no vocational or certification education in lieu of a high school diploma) Associate’s degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required). X-ray training certification. CPR certification. EFDA Certification (Preferred) CPR Certification (Required) Dental Radiography Certification (Required)- can also use a signed letter from a dentist you worked with stating you are trained and proficient in radiography.
