Job Description
The Deputy Manager – Inventory is responsible for effective inventory control, GRN processing, billing coordination, vendor follow-up, return management, monitoring short-expiry and non-moving items, and ensuring accurate stock records across all units.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control overall inventory
- Ensure accurate stock records and system updates
- Verify and process GRN (Goods Receipt Notes)
- Coordinate billing and ensure billing accuracy
- Monitor and manage short-expiry items
- Identify and prepare non-moving stock lists
- Coordinate with vendors and maintain vendor relationships
- Prepare, update, and maintain return lists
- Follow up with vendors for returns and obtain credit notes
- Ensure timely receipt and posting of credit notes
- Follow up with all units regarding stock, returns, and discrepancies
- Reduce inventory losses, damages, and wastage
- Coordinate with purchase, warehouse, and accounts teams
- Prepare inventory, return, and credit note reports
- Support audits and compliance requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent
- Diploma or certification in Inventory / Stores / Materials Management (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in inventory, stores, or warehouse management
- Hands-on experience with GRN processing, billing coordination, and vendor returns
- Experience in handling short-expiry and non-moving inventory
- Knowledge of credit notes, vendor follow-ups, and inter-unit coordination
- Working knowledge of ERP / inventory management systems
- Good understanding of audit, compliance, and documentation procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools
