Role Objective

• We are looking for a Deputy Manager Legal who would be responsible for the Legal drafting, reviewing, negotiating and closure of documents in the interest of the company. He/she should also be able to deal with numerous complex issues including designing the structure of the business/deals, analysis, and strategic contract negotiations.

Job Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions ranging from content licensing, acquisition and syndication of films/programs/music, TV agreements, digital/ oTT agreements, DCB agreements, telecom agreements, payment gateway agreements, bill processor agreements, WAP and VAS service agreements, iSP distribution agreements, iT services, marketing agreement, Broadcast agreements for carriage, EPG, commissioning and production of shows, ATL/BTL agreements, NDAs, indemnity, letters, notices.


• To work directly with the business, serving and advising on strategic deals and compliance issues, providing day- to-day advice. Building new contract/Agreement independently as per business model requirements and compliance checklist and processes and standardization of contracts.


• To remain current on new technologies and rights issues in the media landscape, updating and advising different verticals


• Conducting research on case laws and regulatory affairs and submission of comments as and when required before authorities.


• Train and mentor subordinates and legal staff.


• Maintain high level of accuracy in all the assigned work.


• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal customers promoting the value of the legal function, advising on new and forthcoming legislation and regulation, identifying legal training needed for the team


• Working with other senior executives to develop company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance across all departments
