Role Overview:


The Deputy Manager – Project Planning & Controls (Landside) supports Client oversight of planning, scheduling, and MIS for landside infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, parking structures, and interface works connecting terminal and city-side infrastructure.

The role ensures schedule visibility, interface alignment, and progress assurance across multiple agencies and contractors.


Key Responsibilities:


Planning & Scheduling

• Review and track PMC and Contractor schedules (L3–L5) for Landside works including roads, utilities, drainage, bridges, and support infrastructure.

• Monitor milestone adherence and identify interface risks with terminal, utilities, and external agencies.

• Track critical path movements, float erosion, and sequencing changes..

• Support development of execution sequences, staging plans, and phasing strategies aligned with Landside operational constraints.


Project Controls & Performance Tracking


• Monitor Planned vs Actual physical progress and milestone achievement.

• Validate contractor-reported progress with site inputs and PMC certifications.

• Track productivity trends and forecast completion risks.

• Support development and monitoring of recovery and mitigation measures for schedule slippages.

• Maintain schedule updates in Primavera/MS Project with accuracy and discipline.


MIS & Reporting


• Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly MIS reports for internal review and leadership updates.

• Consolidate PMC and contractor data into clear, decision-oriented dashboards.

• Maintain accurate data logs for schedule, progress, risks, and interfaces.

• Support preparation of leadership review notes and presentations.

• Assist senior management with data-backed presentations, progress summaries, and trend analysis.


Interface & Coordination


•Coordinate with PMC, Contractors, Design Teams, Utilities, and Local Authorities.

• Track interfaces between roads, utilities, terminal access, and public traffic management.

• Support phased handovers and access planning.

• Support interface management between Landside packages and terminal / airside / utilities works.

• Participate in contractor review meetings, planning discussions, and coordination forums with factual data support.


Process Support & Controls


• Support implementation of standard planning and reporting processes across Landside packages.

• Assist in preparation of time impact analysis, delay records, and schedule substantiation, as required.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning templates, trackers, and reporting formats.


Qualifications & Experience:


• B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)

• Postgraduate diploma or certifications in Project Management, Construction Planning preferred.

• Minimum 7-9 years of hands-on experience in Project Planning & Controls in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in airport or transportation sector.

• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and exposure to Power BI.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and engineering coordination tools is a strong advantage.

• Exposure to Landside works or projects executed under operational constraints is desirable.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to data accuracy and reporting discipline.

• Ability to work independently while aligning closely with senior planning leadership.

• Good communication and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven, and live operational environments.
