Exide Energy Solutions Limited is a wholly owned Subsidiary of Exide Industries Limited, leading battery manufacturing and distribution company in India with annual revenues of $1.8+ Bn. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is investing $500+ Mn dollars to setup India’s first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium-Ion Cells at Devanahalli Industrial Area in Bengaluru. Exide Energy designs, develops, and manufactures Lithium Ion Cells and Battery Pack solutions for various energy storage. Exide Energy is a leading player in the market with OEM customers across key market applications – 2W, 3W, 4W, CV and industrial applications. Exide is also deeply invested in further developing li-ion technology with significant R&D investments including setup of in-house team as well as necessary lab infrastructure to support development activities.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • 4–7 years of experience in internal audit and risk-based roles, preferably in manufacturing companies.
  • Opportunity to work closely with operations and leadership teams at India’s first Giga Factory, supporting risk and control frameworks during scale-up and steady-state operations.
  • Plan and execute internal audits, including risk-based audits, process audits, and compliance reviews within a large-scale manufacturing setup.
  • Perform end-to-end process reviews to identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in complex manufacturing operations.
  • Support closure and tracking of internal audit observations, including coordination with stakeholders and validation of corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments, maintain the risk register, track mitigation actions, and provide periodic risk status updates to management.
  • Prepare internal audit reports, risk dashboards, and management and board presentations.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating organizational policies, SOPs, and controls, including support for compliance-related reviews.
  • Perform design and operating effectiveness testing of internal controls, identify control gaps, and work with process owners to develop, implement, and track mitigation and corrective action plans.


Mandatory Skills:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountants.
  • Strong understanding of Internal Audit, internal controls, and compliance frameworks, including control design and operating effectiveness testing.
  • Hands-on experience in process reviews, control testing, and tracking mitigation / corrective action plans.
  • Proven ability to develop, track, and validate mitigation and corrective action plans in coordination with process owners.
  • Experience in preparing internal audit reports, risk registers, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend practical, implementable control improvements.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts and practical application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for audit analysis, dashboards, and management reporting.


Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to identifying, assessing, and managing risks in manufacturing operations, including plant operations, supply chain, quality, maintenance, utilities, and related processes.
  • Exposure to manufacturing / energy / automotive sectors.
  • Familiarity with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
