Derivatives Business Analyst

Description

This role is responsible for analysis of business requirements and working with developers to test and release solutions. You will be part of a small, respected IT team that provides analytic tooling to a derivatives trading desk.

The role requires someone to work with derivatives traders and IT to:

•Define requirements, propose solutions, broker decisions and achieve consensus.

• Work with developers to deliver those requirements and support UAT

• Assist in providing third-line support to traders.

• Work closely with front office to ensure use of IT is delivering revenue, and to manage stakeholder expectations.

• Identify improvements and recommend solutions to stakeholders.

Hard skills

• Good understanding of Python (or other language) and SQL

• Ability to work with large and complex data sets

• Comfortable with interfacing with mathematical models
