Harness works with multiple drilling and well servicing contractors meaning you will have the opportunity to work on different rigs and crews all over Australia.

Technical Responsibilities:
- Responsible to monitor for losses or increases in flows from well bore
- Responsible for daily checks of safety equipment in Derrickman operations
- Responsible for applying for work permits
- Responsible for ensuring that all work permits are complied with
- Responsible for complying with Company Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for complying Clients Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for detection of well bore flows and losses
- Responsible to sound alarm if well is flowing
- Responsible to sound alarm in case of fire
- Responsible for complying of Company Policies and Procedures
- Use manual tongs to make up connections
- Inspect maintain drill rig equipment including minor engine maintenance
- Rig floor and lease operations including rigging up derrick, preparing tubing and piping, running and recovering drill strings and bits
- Erect and dismantling drilling rig
- Rig up and down the derrick, guy wires, casing and BOP
- Sling and move loads
- Report plant and equipment problems to Motorman
- Inspect and clean drill pipe
- Run and recover drill string and bits
- Mix chemicals
- Assist driller in floor operations
- Any other duties as required
- Strap clean Pipe
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must hold & completed Certificate II in Onshore Drilling & Well Servicing
- Working Safely at Heights
- Working Safely at Heights
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Wellsite Permit to Work Revision 3
- Operate Breathing Apparatus
- Operate Vehicles in the Field
- First Aid & CPR
- Fire Training
- Valid Drivers License
- Toowoomba Point of Hire
- Eligibility to work in Australia MANDATORY
Previous Oil & Gas personnel who have worked in Australia but have travelled overseas and wish to come back into the Australian market are welcomed to apply. If you do not hold the relevant requirements, we can offer a RPL to transition you back into Australian standards (subject to passing assessment).
Candidate must be willing to make their way to Toowoomba to board crew flights. There are contractors who fly out from Brisbane; however, majority will be required to travel to Toowoomba as the Point of Hire.
