Design and Release Engineer - Body Closures

The DRE is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of body closure sheet metal and hinging systems. Other responsibilities will include development and validation of assigned components and communicating technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management. Individual will be responsible for coordinating the packaging with all adjacent departments (electromechanical, electrical, lighting, trim). Will be responsible for working with virtual validation groups to ensure that the CAE scorecard is met as well as manufacturing feasibility. Will be responsible for maintaining and updating DVP&R, DFMEA. Also responsible to support & manage suppliers for quality actions and VO activities.
