The Big Picture

The Design Architect will be working on in hospital and healthcare interior design projects. The role demands exposure to US and Middle East healthcare standards , with the ability to deliver efficient, compliant, and patient-centric design solutions across international projects. This role will work closely with global clients, internal engineering teams, and consultants to design healthcare facilities that balance clinical functionality, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and user experience.

What you can expect as a Design Architect at Illumine-i:

• You will be doing architectural design development for healthcare and hospital facilities , including interior design coordination.
• You’ll translate client requirements into functional, efficient, and compliant healthcare layouts .
• You’ll ensure adherence to US/Middle East healthcare codes, guidelines, and best practices .
• You’ll prepare and review concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation .
• You’ll coordinate with MEP, structural, BIM, and healthcare planning teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
• You’ll participate in client interactions, design reviews, and technical discussions across global time zones.
• You’ll integrate sustainable design strategies, energy efficiency, and wellness principles into healthcare projects.
• You’ll support BIM-driven workflows and ensure high-quality Revit-based deliverables.
• You’ll contribute to continuous improvement of Illumine-i’s healthcare design standards and libraries .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 3–8 years of professional experience in healthcare / hospital architecture and interior design .
• Proven exposure to US and Middle East healthcare projects .
• Strong understanding of hospital planning, clinical workflows, space programming, and zoning .
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD , and BIM-based design coordination.
• Working knowledge of international healthcare codes, standards, and guidelines .
• Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or equivalent sustainability frameworks .
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or specialized training in Healthcare Architecture or Interior Design .
• Experience in large-scale hospitals, medical campuses, or specialty healthcare facilities .
• Exposure to high-end healthcare interiors and patient-centric design approaches .
• Prior experience working directly with international clients and consultants .
