Job Title: Principal Design Consultant (functional) - Pharmacovigilance Signal Detection Solutions
Job Type: Full-Time-Remote
Job Description: We are seeking a client facing Principal Design Consultant to define the functional requirements and configuration for our clients’ pharmacovigilance signal detection solutions using our flagship Qinecsa Vigilance Workbench platform. The work involves owning part or all of the functional solution design through the full implementation lifecycle, including leading client workshops, requirements gathering, configuration design, along with close collaboration with technical engineers and testing to staff to support the successful implementation of the design. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of signal detection principles, along with analytical, documentation and communication skills with customer-facing experience and a passion for advancing drug safety technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on part or all of the functional solution design through the full implementation lifecycle for new and existing clients – including:
- Analyse, gather and document client business requirements
- Understand how to translate client requirements into product configuration decisions, and document product configuration specifications accordingly
- Where necessary, document functional requirements for data migrations and customisations
- Join stand up sessions with technical engineers and test analysts to support the technical implementation, and own the design as it evolves.
- Manage scope throughout the implementation process, and support project managers with change control where necessary
- During client upgrade projects, lead on functional impact assessments of new product versions on existing client solutions to assist in scoping and planning the upgrade.
- Support the investigation of Incidents and processing of requests for change as part of BAU services.
- Liaise with our product management team to maximise use of standard product features, review potential product defects and enhancement requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client business and regulatory requirements.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, business information systems, biology, nursing, epidemiology or similar technology or sciences equivalent
- Experience client facing software implementation in a design type role
- An understanding of signal detection and signal management practices and processes
- Familiar with computer system validation requirements for the life sciences industry
- Willing and able to lead small teams to meet committed timelines
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience developing or implementing Healthcare or Life Sciences Saa S applications
- Ideally will have several years of experience with Empirica Signal / Empirica Topics 7.x or 8.x or a similar software system
- Ideally possesses strong, practical understanding of signal detection and signal management practices and processes
- Familiarity with cloud based solutions and concepts
- Significant experience working in the life sciences industry (pharma, CRO or software vendor)
