Job Description

1.Job Role:


The Design Coordinator role is to coordinate the design work among different engineering traits including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering.


2. Job Responsibilities

• Leading the design process to produce accurate information in line with the agreed specification cost plan / estimate, and design criteria.

• Coordinating with designers, project engineers, and clients.

• Generating design deliverables list and design schedule for the pursuit.

• Managing and reviewing the design development process

• Tracking the development of design deliverables, ensuring quality and on-time completion.

• Recognizing and determining priority of tasks and scheduling work for on-site and off-site design teams.

• Conducting meetings, reviews, preparing documentation, and assisting the Project Manager in contractual communication with clients and subcontractors.

• Participating and facilitating design review meetings with clients, stakeholders, and operators to advance design packages.

• Providing field and construction guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and younger Engineers on-site or off-site to ensure design meets conditions.



3. Job Qualifications:



• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is a must

• More than 5 years of experience as a Design Coordinator
• Experience in various engineering design projects, including but not limited to, residential, commercial, hotels, hospitals, and schools is a must

• Experience in reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications

• Extensive experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
