Role Summary

This is a core technical design role in geosynthetics. You will work with the technical design team to produce geotechnical designs, technical proposals and standardised engineering documents. The role requires strong fundamentals, analytical depth and a clear interest in building a long-term career in geosynthetics design. Candidates with a research-oriented mindset, strong technical curiosity and willingness to specialise in geosynthetics are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical designs for slopes, retaining walls, embankments, pavements and ground improvement using geosynthetics.
• Prepare design calculations, design notes, solution proposals, and technical submissions.
• Standardise design formats, calculation sheets, reports, and technical documents.
• Support technical sales by developing feasible and optimised geosynthetic solutions.
• Coordinate with the drafting team to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent.
• Guide the project team during execution on design assumptions, limitations and requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications and BOQs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and site teams for technical clarifications.
• Participate in site visits when required for data validation or troubleshooting.
• Prepare and review technical papers and marketing technical content.
• Attend client meetings, technical events, conferences and industry forums.
• Conduct technical seminars, trainings and knowledge sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Candidate must be GATE qualified.
• Strong fundamentals in soil mechanics, slope stability, earth pressure, bearing capacity and ground improvement.
• Ability to produce clear, logical, and defensible engineering calculations.

Preferred Background

• M.Tech thesis or project related to geosynthetics, reinforced soil, or ground improvement.
• Exposure to design tools such as MSEW, ReSSA, PLAXIS, GeoStudio or similar tools.
• Strong technical curiosity and willingness to specialise in geosynthetics.
