Key Responsibilities

Design of Parts and Aggregates

  • Create 3D models of BIW components based on defined design requirements
  • Ensure part design feasibility across DFx parameters including manufacturing, assembly, and service
  • Prepare detailed drawings for child parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and table drawings
  • Apply basic GD&T principles and tolerance stack-up concepts
  • Support material selection based on functional and application requirements

Packaging and DMU

  • Perform packaging of BIW systems ensuring correct fitment, orientation, and location
  • Prepare closure layouts and envelopes for windshield, doors, flaps, tailgate, and related systems
  • Ensure clash-free designs with optimized clearances to meet functional requirements
