SAIC is seeking a Design Engineer to support and lead mechanical design, integration, and documentation efforts for the Advanced Manufacturing Systems Program Office in support of NSWC Crane tasking portfolio at our EastGate facility in Bedford, Indiana. Selected candidate will lead a team to design mechanical / electromechanical systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies; review technical documentation and drawings; and apply currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures in the manufacturing of systems. Candidate will perform acceptance testing on components and systems to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications, determine the causes of failures, and test manufactured products to maintain quality. Candidate will use SolidWorks and work with engineers, technicians, drafters, and customer to initiate and capture designs, and to document installation of machines and electronic equipment including associated wiring into Tactica...
