Job Description
We are seeking a Design Engineer (Mould Tooling) to work for an international manufacturing company based in Whitstable.
This is a permanent position 37.5 hours pw. Working hours are Monday to Thursday; 8am to 4.30pm and Friday; 8am to 1.30pm. Based on site.
Purpose of the role
- To support team in addressing immediate production stops by investigating, identifying root cause and implementing component and tooling design updates inline with manufacturability.
- To advise on NPI projects supporting DFM / DFMEA for moulded part / tooling design.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Provide fast turnaround corrective actions for Process/Quality issues affecting production, and or customer concerns within the mould shop.
• Collaborate with colleagues & cross functional teams across the business by providing moulding process & material knowledge in NPI /APQP project meetings.
• Designs, verifies, prepares, and maintains detailed 3D models, technical design drawings...
