Job Title:  Design Engineer- Primary (Substation)

Work Location:  Abu Dhabi

Interview Location : Chennai

Experience:  6- 15 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design of HV AIS/GIS substations (up to 765kV), including SLDs, GA drawings, and equipment layouts.
  • Select and size primary equipment (CBs, CTs, PTs, isolators, surge arresters) per IEC/IEEE and utility standards.
  • Design grounding, lightning protection, and cable routing systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Coordinate with civil, secondary, protection, and external teams for design integration.
  • Review vendor documents, support procurement, and participate in FATs and technical evaluations.
  • Provide site support during construction and commissioning, resolving design-related issues.

    • Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience:  6+ years in substation design
