Design Lead

We’re looking for a Design Lead specialising in branding, with strong experience in D2C brands. You’re a sharp visual thinker with a strong point of view on brand systems, typography, and storytelling, and you’re confident leading projects, mentoring designers, and collaborating closely with strategy and business teams.

The Role

As a Design Lead, you will lead the conceptualisation and execution of brand identities and D2C-focused design projects from brief to delivery. You’ll work across brand systems, digital-first touchpoints, and campaigns. ensuring the work is strategic, cohesive, and visually compelling.

This role requires a balance of hands-on design excellence and leadership, with ownership over projects and the ability to guide teams toward strong creative outcomes.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end branding projects for D2C brands, from ideation through execution
  • Translate brand and business strategy into scalable visual identity systems
  • Design for D2C touchpoints including websites, social, digital campaigns, and product experiences
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Strategists, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Define visual tone, brand language, and storytelling frameworks
  • Present work confidently to clients, articulating design rationale and strategic thinking
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering growth and high craft standards
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced studio environment
  • Stay informed on D2C, digital, and branding trends and apply relevant insights to your work


What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in an advertising agency, creative studio, or brand consultancy
  • Strong portfolio showcasing branding work for D2C or consumer-first brands
  • Deep understanding of typography, layout, colour, hierarchy, and visual systems
  • Experience designing digital-first brand experiences
  • Ability to understand briefs, user journeys, and business objectives
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership

Professional Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Familiarity with Figma or similar digital design tools
  • Understanding of responsive design and digital design systems
  • Knowledge of motion, video, or HTML/CSS is a plus
