Design & Release Engineer (DRE) – Interior Components

Position Overview
We are looking for a Design & Release Engineer (DRE) – Interior Components to support vehicle development programs for a leading global automotive OEM. This role is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of interior systems and components, ensuring they meet cost, quality, performance, timing, and regulatory targets.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in automotive interior parts and thrives in a cross-functional, program-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design and release of interior components such as:
Instrument panel / cockpit components
Trim parts (A/B/C pillars, garnish moldings)
Consoles, door trims, or interior plastics
Develop and manage component requirements, DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
Ensure parts meet fit, finish, craftsmanship, durability, and performance standards
Support 3D packaging, tolerance stack-ups, and vehicle integration
