Design & Release Engineer – Wiring / EDS

Position Overview
We are seeking a Design & Release Engineer (DRE) – Wiring / Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) to support vehicle programs for a major global automotive OEM. This role is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of vehicle wiring harness systems, ensuring cost, quality, performance, and timing targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with automotive electrical architecture, harness design, and cross-functional program execution in a fast-paced OEM environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design and release of wiring harnesses / EDS components for vehicle programs
Develop and manage engineering requirements, DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
Ensure designs meet cost, weight, quality, performance, and packaging targets
Support 3D harness routing, packaging, and integration within vehicle architecture
Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Suppliers
