About the Role:

We are looking for a Design System Designer to own, evolve, and scale our design system across multiple digital products and teams. This role sits at the intersection of UX, visual design, accessibility, and front-end engineering, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed across our digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Design System Ownership:

- Own and evolve the design system across web and mobile platforms

- Define and maintain UI components, patterns, layouts, and interaction behaviors

- Establish and manage design tokens (color, typography, spacing, motion, elevation)

- Ensure the system scales across brands, themes, and platforms

Collaboration & Enablement:

- Partner with product designers, engineers, UX researchers, and brand teams

- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation

- Support teams with adoption, documentation, and best practices

- Act as a design system advocate across squads

Accessibility & Quality:

- Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance

- Drive consistency in interaction patterns and responsive behavior

- Define quality standards for visual and usability excellence

Governance & Evolution:

- Define governance models for contribution and release

- Review and prioritize component requests

- Balance stability with innovation

- Track adoption and impact

Documentation & Tooling:

- Maintain documentation in Figma, Zeroheight, Storybook, or Confluence

- Create component specs and usage guidelines

- Improve design-to-dev workflows

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years of UI/UX or Product Design experience

- Strong experience with enterprise design systems

- Expert in Figma (components, variants, tokens)

- Familiarity with Storybook and component-based development

- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks

- Strong understanding of accessibility standards

Nice to Have:

- Experience with multi-brand platforms

- Background in retail or financial services

- Experience with DesignOps or UX Ops
