Hack in Hire is recruiting for a client looking to strengthen its customers’ security posture through advanced detection engineering. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys thinking like an adversary, building high-signal detections, and continuously improving defensive capabilities.

About the role

As a Detection Engineer , you’ll play a key role in improving how threats are detected and responded to. You’ll apply your knowledge of adversary tactics and techniques to design, develop, and fine-tune advanced detection rules across SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms. You’ll also analyze attacker simulation results to uncover gaps in security controls, define detection and mitigation strategies, and automate processes to streamline security assessments and reporting.
