Job Title: Development Engineer – Comfort Electronics (Tailgate Motor & Sensors)
Location : Chakan, Pune
Job Summary:
Responsible for defining specifications, developing, and validating tailgate motors, sensors, and comfort systems to ensure functionality, quality, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Define system and component specifications for tailgate motor and sensor systems
Develop and validate components through testing and development trials
Manage engineering releases and technical documentation
Coordinate with suppliers for technical clarifications and development progress
Track part development and provide regular project updates
Support ramp-up activities and ensure readiness for production
Ensure compliance with internal standards and type approval requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines, cost, and quality targets
Desired Skills:
Experience in automotive electronics, body/comfort systems, or mechatronics
Knowledge of tailgate systems, motors, sensors, or closure systems preferred
Understanding of validation, documentation, and product development processes
Strong coordination and communication skills
