1. Conduct research on the structures and properties of various
materials, including metals, alloys, polymers, and semiconductors.
2. Determine methods for fabrication of solar cells using semiconductor
technology.
3. Implement methods for fabrication of photovoltaic diodes with
increased efficiency, including patterning using photolithographic
methods, etching and deposition methods.
4. Develop and document the processes and materials required to
fabricate photovoltaic devices and operation and maintenance of
device processing equipment.
5. Design and devise testing methods to evaluate various conditions on
various materials, including metals, alloys, polymers, and
