Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor cloud cost allocation and implement cost-optimization strategies.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL performance and analyze workloads to improve database efficiency.
  • Maintain and evolve managed Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Administer databases, especially Postgres, ensuring security and performance.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead post‑mortem analysis after incidents.
  • Enforce security policies (IAM roles, least privilege, secrets management).
  • Implement automated compliance checks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, AWS/Azure Well‑Architected Framework).
  • Define and implement observability best practices using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
