Job Description
We are a mission-driven compliance technology company supporting large-scale construction and renewable energy projects across the United States. Our platform helps owners, EPCs, and contractors meet workforce and regulatory requirements tied to the Inflation Reduction Act and other clean energy incentives. By consolidating prevailing wage rules, apprenticeship ratios, labor classifications, and multi-agency reporting into a single system, we enable customers to stay compliant, audit-ready, and operationally efficient on complex, high-stakes projects.
Role Summary
The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of a regulated SaaS platform used to manage time-sensitive workforce compliance. This role owns the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling that keep the platform available, auditable, and secure while supporting real-time analytics and machine learning workloads. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, security, and compliance, where uptime and data integrity directly impact customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, repeatable, and auditable deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code to ensure consistency, traceability, and controlled change management across environments.
- Maintain high availability and system reliability for customers operating under strict compliance deadlines and active regulatory oversight.
- Design and support monitoring, alerting, and logging systems that provide deep operational visibility and defensible audit trails.
- Partner with engineering teams to support deployment and operation of machine learning models and real-time data processing pipelines.
- Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, including identity management, secrets handling, encryption, and least-privilege access.
- Support compliance initiatives by aligning operational controls with frameworks such as SOC 2 and other standards relevant to government reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering role supporting production SaaS systems.
- Hands-on experience operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a strong preference for AWS-based environments.
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Solid understanding of security fundamentals for cloud platforms handling sensitive data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (construction tech, payroll, financial systems, healthcare, or government reporting).
- Familiarity with SOC 2, GDPR, or similar security and compliance frameworks.
- Experience supporting data pipelines or streaming architectures used for analytics or compliance validation.
- Exposure to operationalizing machine learning workloads in production environments.
- Background supporting platforms with multiple external integrations and third-party data providers.
Technical Skills
- Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Security: IAM, secrets management, encryption, audit logging
