DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (GCP) Experience: 35 Years Location: Mumbai Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only Job Summary We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the design, deployment, and operations of cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure automation, containerization, cloud security, and monitoring, and will work closely with development and platform teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible. Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python and one additional language (Node.js, Go, or Shell). Manage and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Ensure security best practices across cloud services and Kubernetes environments. Configure and maintain web servers and reverse proxies such as Nginx and Apache. Implement and maintain cloud-native monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana. Manage CI/CD pipelines for code build, release, and deployment using Git and Jenkins. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across cloud infrastructure and applications. Implement logging solutions and manage ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stacks at scale. Work with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka. Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve system reliability and performance. Proactively identify risks, issues, and improvement areas, and communicate them effectively. Required Skills & Qualifications 35 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with GCP. Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language (Node.js, Go, or Shell). Working knowledge of Terraform and Ansible. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. Solid understanding of cloud and Kubernetes security concepts. Experience with Nginx and Apache web servers. Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring. Experience with Git and Jenkins for CI/CD. Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB). Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems. Familiarity with Azure is a plus. Exposure to distributed tracing and APM tools is an added advantage.
